l first met Colin in 37 Fd Sqn when l arrived newly promoted to Sgt and you could not have met a nicer person who quickly became a close friend.

After he left 37 l next saw Colin when he was commanding a tank with 32 Armd Engr Regt and l was commanding an AFV432 Ambulance during the Gulf War.

We lost touch for many years but through social media, Colin and l got in touch and used to meet when l travelled to Spain. Meeting him drew back the years instantly and our friendship was renewed.
